So today I wanted to share with you my wall of paper bats...
After hanging my Halloween banner, skull and bones paper garlands on the wall opposite the window, which I showed you on Saturday. I felt like that the back wall needed some decoration.
I had remembered seeing lots of lovely pins on Pinterest of walls adorned with paper bats which got me thinking that might be just what my back wall needed. So I designed the pattern and started cutting out lots of bats. I loved how they looked but they needed some extra sparkle, what doesn't?
So with a little silver glitter glue and some bluetack, my wall of bats is complete.
Here's how I made them, with free downloadable pattern...
You will need...
Paper bat pattern
(Please feel free to download the pattern and use it to make your own wall of bats.)
1 A4 black card
silver glitter glue
How-to step by step
Step 1
Start by downloading the free paper bat pattern, print and cut out. Place pattern on to black card and trace round the edges.
Step 2
Using a ruler and bone paper folder or perforator score the fold lines.
Step 3
Cut out bat and fold the wings, use a small hole punch for the eyes. I used a combination of folds in different directions so my bats were not all identical.
Step 4
Using a small paint brush apply glitter glue to the bats body
Step 5
