Sewing Instructions
1) Center & fuse interfacing to wrong side of CC Holder. (There are TWO pieces of interfacing for
large wallet).
2) Fold CC Holder, RIGHT sides together, matching both sets of “A” notches.
3) Fold CC Holder, WRONG sides together, matching the “B” notches with the “A” notches from step 2. Press flat.
4) Keeping “A” & “B” notches together, fold unit WRONG sides together, matching “C” notches.
5) Fold “C” fold line UP, right sides together, so that it’s 1/2” below “B” fold line, (from step 3). Press flat.
6) Keeping “B” & “C” fold lines secure, fold unit WRONG sides together, matching “D” notches. Press flat.
7) Fold “D” fold line UP, RIGHT sides together, so that it’s 1/2” below the “C” fold line (from step 5). Press flat.
**For SMALL wallet only, skip over to step XX.**
8) Keeping “B”, “C” & “D” fold lines secure, fold unit WRONG side together, matching “E” notches.
Press flat.
9) Fold “E” fold line UP, RIGHT sides together, so that it’s 1/2” below the “D” fold line (from step 7). Press flat.
10) Keeping “B”, “C” , “D” & “E” fold lines secure, fold unit WRONG side together, matching “F” notches. Press flat.
11) Fold “F” fold line UP, RIGHT sides together, so that it’s 1/2” below the “E” fold line (from step 9). Press flat. Now clip off all notches & baste side edges to secure folds.
12) Align CC Facing along one long edge of CC Holder, right sides together. Stitch 1/4” from edges. Do NOT trim
13) Flip CC Facing over CC Holder seam edge, wrong sides
together, aligning long bottom edges.
**Note: 1/4” of CC Facing will now be visible above side edge of CC Holder.**
Baste bottom raw edges together to secure them. Set unit aside.
14) Fuse interfacing to wrong side of Zipper Top & Zipper Bottom exteriors.
Now slide zipper in between, RIGHT SIDE DOWN, along notched edge.
(Allow BOTH metal zipperstops to hang off fabric edges.)
Stitch 1/4” from raw edges.
Press Zipper Bottoms up & away from zipper. Topstitch down length of zipper, close to fabric edge.
17) Place Zipper Top exterior right side DOWN on free zipper edge aligning side edges with Zipper Bottom side edges.
Now slide Zipper Top lining underneath, matching up double notches with Zipper Top exterior. Stitch 1/4” from raw edges. Press both Zipper Top pieces up & away from zipper.
18) Bend free edges of Zipper Tops over zipper & line them up bottom free edges of Zipper Bottoms.
Press unit flat. (About 1/2” of the Zipper Top should be showing above zipper on exterior side.) Top stitch close to fabric edge down entire length of zipper through all layers. Baste bottom edges together to secure. This unit is now a Coin Purse.
19) Unzip zipper toward center. Get CC Holder unit from step 13. Align CC Holder unit & Coin Purse unit at bottom edges. (The side edges of Coin Purse are ~3/8” taller than CC Holder. Baste side edges together thru all layers, reinforcing the stitching over zipper ends. Trim off excess zipper tape to fabric edge, (keeping zipper head in center of Coin Purse).
21) Apply pressed edges of short bias tape pieces to each CC Holder side edge, leaving ~1” free at each top edge. Stitch 1/4” from edges through ALL layers.
22) Next, fold the free 1 ” DOWN over each top raw edge to conceal them.
23) Now, fold bias tape over each side edge to Coin Purse side, concealing stitching that was made in step 21. Handstitch in place.
24) Finally, apply long bias tape piece to bottom edge of CC Holder, leaving 1 ” hanging off BOTH ends. Stitch 1/4” from raw edges. Repeat step 22 & 23 to finish off each bottom corner. Handstitch bias tape in place on Coin Purse side.
