How to Make a Raccoon Toy. Pattern & Tutorial

How to Make a Raccoon Toy. Pattern & Tutorial

The toy is quite simple. You can easily sew such a raccoon with your own hands, following the instructions below.

 Materials you will need:
- gray and black fleece,
- Moss Foam,
- buttons.

The pattern. The arrows on it indicate the direction of stretching the fleece. You can place the fleece and perpendicularly, then the raccoon will turn out more fat :). But be careful! ALL the parts must be stretched in ONE chosen direction!

1. Transfer the back pattern to the fabric.

2. Transfer the other part of the pattern (the tail and the front of the raccoon) to the fabric, folded in half face inwards.

3. Stitch as shown in the photo.

4. Fold the resulting double piece front and back facing each other. Carefully pin so that the pattern on both pieces matches as much as possible and stitch them together.

 5. Cut off the excess fabric, leaving an allowance of 2-3 mm. Cut through the fleece in the corners (between the legs and under the head) almost to the seam, so that the toy then did not appear overstretched.

6. Make a slit on the tummy for eversion (2 cm).

7. Through the slit, using a stick (for sushi, for example), turn out the skin and stuff it with Moss Foam (also using a stick).

8. Densely and evenly stuff the toy, sew up the slit with a countersunk stitch.

9. Cut out black appliqués for the tummy and face. Pin with pins and carefully sew through the edge.

12. Stuff the tummy with a little bit of Moss Foam before sewing to the end.

13. Cross-stitch the navel.

14. Cut out the tail. Make a slit in the place where it will be sewn to the body. Turn it out and stuff it.

15. Cut some black strips and sew them to the tail through the edge.

16. Secret stitch the tail to the butt :) And our raccoon is ready!
